Co-Active coaching is about effectively empowering people to find their own answers by tapping their inner resources, and encouraging and supporting them to make ongoing life changing choices.
Co-Active coaching is a form of conversation with inherent ground rules regarding certain qualities that must be present: respect, openness, compassion, empathy and a rigorous commitment to speaking the truth.
There are certain assumptions underlying the conversation as well. Co-Active coaching assumes strength and capability, not weakness, helplessness, or dependence. Co-Active coaching assumes a deep desire to give the best and achieve potential.
A Co-Active coaching conversation has the beliefs built into it that every situation has possibilities and that people really do have the power of choice in their live.
The 3 core principles of the Co-Active model are Fulfillment, Balance, and Process.
Fulfillment is about living a life that is valued, purposeful, and alive.
Balance is about choosing a life that is in action, aligned with a compelling vision.
Process is about the internal experience, about what is happening in the moment.
